Student Initiatives

Students in the MIT Program in Writing and Humanistic Studies  produce a spectrum of work: from autobiography, scientific essays and poetry  to computer games and web-based hypertext projects.

Outstanding work by MIT students who take the Introductory Writing subjects is published in the online magazine Angles. Master students in the Graduate Program in Science Writing publish their work in the quarterly magazine Scope.

The Ilona Karmel Writing Prizes competition has been enjoying a wide popularity among the MIT students, and WHS encourages all MIT students to participate in this annual competition which runs every Spring semester.
